Please find below information regarding  some common infections/complaints and how long your child should be kept at home.

Please remember it is our school policy that you contact school when your child is ill on the first and each subsequent morning of absence before 9.00 am.

Infection or Complaint	Period to be kept home from School
Chicken Pox	Until all spots have crusted over
COVID-19	COVID-19 Risk Assessment - Autumn Term 2021 Return to Education Primary School Leaflet - NHS
Diarrhoea and/or vomiting	48 hours from last episode of diarrhoea or vomiting
Flu	Until recovered
Head Lice	Child can return as soon as treatment has begun. NHS Head Lice & Nits
Impetigo	Until lesions are crusted and healed, or 48 hours after starting antibiotic treatment
Scarlet Fever	Child can return 24 hours after starting appropriate antibiotic treatment
